Women
by Amber-Lee Minshull

I created three panel boards depicting the psychological journey of women, from oppression to empowerment as well as touching upon body image. My intention is to highlight mental health aspects of how the body is perceived; the mentalities towards eating behaviours, body hair, weight and breast size.

The panels are made of MDF board sized A2. I chose this material as my grandad advised me that it would give me a better finish at the end, the only thing is that it is a little bit heavier than the plywood I was originally going to use. I will order my own pack of 12 Montana Black spray paint cans online, as well as this I will also incorporate other types of mediums such as acrylic, threads, materials, and ink. I will cut some various stencils out in preparation for my spray paints.
