SCULPT

The title of my Final Major Project is ‘Sculpt’. I aim to use sculpting techniques that I have previously learnt in college such as working with wire, paper and clay. However, I also plan on expanding my knowledge of mediums and will create samples using a wide variety of materials and methods. At the end of my Project, I will select my favourite sculpting technique to then produce a polished sculpture for my final piece. Paying special attention to its medium and the shape of its form. As I work through this project I am going to carry through an underlying theme of anthropology. Possibly creating sculptures to contextualize elements of human biology, behavior and society. This is a theme that particularly interests me, and I think it will provide an open opportunity to sculpt in reference to the subject I am to study at university next September. My project will be heavily influenced by elements of anthropology, inspired by aspects of baseline human nature and exploration into our cultural normalities and values.
