I wanted the chance to work with surface textures experimenting with new materials and media’s. I also wanted the opportunity to work in a refined style so I could mix the two together and create contrasts between the extreme textured pieces and the the very detailed pieces. I found that the two worked very well along side each-other, and it allowed me to show off various skills rather than only focusing on one area. I completed a lot of experimentations and artist research looking at varied things as I wanted to get the best base knowledge I could to open up the project to many directions and avenues. This meant I would not be limited when it came to creating design ideas. I could pick bits from lots of different samples and mix them together and I also had the chance to pick between various artist techniques and processes. I feel as though my Final Major Project went very well and is a successful conclusion to the end of the course. I found this the most enjoyable process and is my favourite project I completed during the course. I feel proud of the work I have produced and feel as though I tried harder than I ever have done before to produce the standard and amount of work I did ensuring I stuck to my own time plan and the dates. I enjoyed having the opportunity to create a project on my own independently and look forward to doing it again over the summer.
